One of the main issues about transport for the London Olympics is the fact that there will not only be around 10 million people coming for the Olympics, but there will also be a lot of tourist activity during the summer in London and a lot of people will visit this city regardless of the Olympics. Knowing this, it is important that possible problems with transport be foreseen and avoided.
London is famous for having good public transport solutions and there has been a lot of work done to improve all transport options in order to avoid congestion and generally chaotic situations during the 2012 London Olympics. For example, the London Overground East London Line is being expanded, the Docklands Light Railway and the North London Line are both being upgraded, and generally all means of public transport are being improved in numerous ways. All this work is being completed in order to make it easier and faster for people to get around the city.
